Incredibly, I am still alive
Good grief, someone please tell me it has been about a year since I posted to my favourite blog!! This is really bad. Anyway, I am still alive. Very much alive, actually. I am still with Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, and loving every moment of it.
I just turned the first 1000k on my bike this season, on my almost daily commute to work. Should be close to 4000k by the time the season is over in December. What gas price???
Did the National Capital half marathon in May, and in spite of almost zero training, managed to come 4th of 37 in my age group, so that was OK. Also did the pee patrol for the 10k winners. (Dope testing, for those who are wondering.)
Recently signed up for the ING half marathon in Miami in late January, and then the cruise right after that to the eastern Caribbean. My wife and I celebrate our birthdays just a few days apart, and they both fall within that time period, so it's a nice way to celebrate. Anyone else doing that?
